#1 Need A Fake Girlfriend? There's A Site For That.

GirlfriendHire is a website that allows you to hire girls for just $5 a pop to pretend to be your girlfriend via text/Facebook/email/phone and do just about anything a girlfriend would do except what you're thinking. GirlfriendHire is not an adult-only service (despite that whole "browsing/ buying girls" theme going on) and there are no "dirty" services available. In fact, they don't actually meet you in person.

#2 The Site Is Geared Towards Teen Boys Or College Students.

The site's primary target seems to be teenage boys who want to appear desirable by having someone pose as their girlfriend, banking on the theory that women are by nature, jealous creatures and don't really know what they want until another female pees on it, or something like that. Most of the girls on the site are over the teen age, and appear to be in their early to mid 20's. Most appear to be stock photos with amazing profiles attached.

#3 So Just What Will These Girlfriends Do For Five Dollars?

Typical girlfriend services on offer include public flirting on Facebook, sending naughty texts (that he could show off to his friends) and generally encouraging young men to lie, cheat and hire women as a means to a successful love life. Jee! But it gets better! You can also hire a girl to do your homework for you, break up with a girl for you or even stalk you!

#4 Some Will Argue Or Break Up With You In An Online Argument...

"I will Message you on facebook demanding to know why your relationship status still says Single for $5″

An offer from user "Yellobel", who guarantees: "Nothing makes you look more desirable than having someone who's obsessed with you. This leaves you single to get a real girlfriend but makes it look like you went out with a cute girl a few times who got really attached to you. Other girls will get interested in following the drama."

#5 How It All Works..

GirlfriendHire was founded by 22 year old college student, Cody Krecicki. He says his aim is to "make a niche for girls that are in college to make money while they're busy going to class."

Some girls like to keep it simple with more classic suggestions such as: "I will post a comment on your Facebook wall for $5." And other girls will pretty much do anything for 5 bucks."

#6 The Creator Admits The Project Still Has It's Flaws.

Cody admits the site does have a lot of spam accounts and recommended choosing girls with good feedback at the top and also just using common sense by looking at the picture. For example if this doesn't look like the kind of girl who would be earning money off of your solitude by sending Facebook messages or creepy texts for $5 payments she probably isn't real and you'll get ripped off.

#7 You Can Have A Beautiful Girl Help You Break Up With Your Current GF By Appearing To Be Unfaithful.

According to the website, it is "the first place on the internet dedicated to connecting guys and girls, to help guys breakup with their girlfriends, prank their friends, get their ex-gfs back, create a fake breakup message and even hire a girl to do your homework."

Judging by the sites layout and the $5 price tag, Fiverr was definitely a huge inspiration for this endeavor. And Cody maintains that he only provides the format to hire, he is not responsible for what happens after payment is made.

#8 Is This Sleazy Or Just The Next Generation In Dating Sites?

Hiring girls to do fake relationship stuff does sound kind of sad, but there's no dearth of boys willing to shell out the 5 bucks. Plus, girls get to make some quick money and no one's really hurt in the process. I checked out the website and there's a list of girls offering various services, called ‘flings', ranging from, "I will text you anything for $5" to "I will give relationship advice for $5". The most popular of them all is, "I will be your Facebook friend for $5". Isn't that cool, to be able to make money out of your Facebook friends list?

#9 So Far There Have Been Many Complaints And The Site Is Currently Being Revamped.

The 'flings' don't always come as paid for though... This young man paid $5 for a half dozen girls to post on his Facebook timeline and only had two respond after getting paid via Paypal. His friends had warned him 'Never pay up front for a lady's services." But he paid no attention and kept trying.

#10 He Got His Money's Worth!

He finally received a reply to his many paid 'girlfriends' and he asked her to dress in a football jersey and hold up an inspirational sign in a FB post. It took several days before she replied with this photo. She wore the jersey but the message on the sign reads, "I died of leukemia, but good luck with football!" He threatened a lawsuit against the site creator and is waiting to hear about getting a refund of his $125.00 he paid for girls. Perhaps that may be why the page is offline currently.
