Homophobic Woman Destroys Pride Mural As She Screams At The Teens That Made It

Seen on TikTok, Reddit and Twitter, this video has been doing the rounds on t he internet where an American woman is seen carrying two cans of spray paint and painting over a pride flag mural on the side of a bridge.

The bridge which is famous for celebrating community art was sporting pro-gay artwork for the duration of Pride month.

In an unhinged tirade, the woman calls them out for ‘not paying taxes’.

16-year-old Carmen who can be heard responding to the woman off-camera first uploaded the videos on TikTok. The videos were later taken down but were reuploaded to Facebook.

Carmen can be heard saying, “I have just as much right as you, actually I have more damn right, because you know what? I work, I pay taxes, I’m an American, born here.”

Carmen, who is not white can also be heard saying that her English is better than the woman’s.

The woman continues with her tirade, “I’m sick of you all’s s–t. Y’all are just constantly, it’s constantly something, always trying to stand out, make a big freaking scene, if y’all would shut up…”

“We’re making a scene?” one of the teens responds.

“Look,” she says as she points off camera. “Cause all you wanna do is express, express, express.”

The woman then continues to deface the mural and escalate the situation.

After the video was uploaded, there was an overwhelming response from the local community.

People started collaborating and coming together to repaint the defaced murals and carried signs saying, “Love is Love”. Gay, bisexual and trans pride flags were also painted in addition to the rainbow flag.

People have apparently also reached out to the woman’s workplace which is taking their complaints seriously.
