Horrifying Moment Schoolgirl, 15, Passes Out When Male Assistant Head Puts Her In A Choke Hold

#1 Two teachers come running to pull apart two girls who are fighting

The 15-year-old is said to have been fighting with another girl at Kingstree Senior High School in South Carolina.

In shocking footage captured by a spectator, Mack Burgess, 69, walked up behind the teen and grabbed her.

Tucking his arm around her neck, he placed her in a chokehold.

In panic, the young girl clawed at him, trying to get free.

Another teacher pulls the other girl away to stop the fight.

Both girls fight back as the teachers use considerable effort to pull the two apart.

#3 Another teacher steps in as the teen goes limp and it becomes clear that the girl is unconscious

The horrifying moment is being watched by a small group of kids who are filming the attack on their smartphones.

While the other teacher merely takes the girl aside, Burgess appears to choke the teen until she loses consciousness.

In the background a bystander shouts "She's out! She's out! She's out!" as the 15-year-old passes out.

Another teacher comes to help the unconscious girl to the ground.

An officer investigating stated that he saw Burgess on video "place the female juvenile in a chokehold".

An arrest warrant was put out for assistant principal, but this was changed to a courtesy summons.

A spokeswoman for the Williamsburg County School District said: "We have several programs in place to assist our students in resolving conflicts without physical contact.

"Our rehabilitative behavioural health specialists, intervention specialists, mental health counsellors and guidance counsellors work closely with students to address numerous issues throughout the year to include conflict resolution."

Administrators are investigating the incident.
