Unfortunately, if you've been enjoying the brand's mac and cheese over the past few weeks, you could be at risk for some serious health problems. Kraft has recently recalled the beloved dish because of contamination issues.
Kraft was forced to recall over 6 million boxes of macaroni and cheese due to metal contamination after receiving complaints from customers that the food made them sick.
The contamination comes from dyes Yellow 5 and Yellow 6, which contain contain benzidene and other potentially carcinogenic chemicals. The toxicity of these elements can halt cell reproduction by damaging the genetic information within those cells.
If you have boxes of Kraft macaroni and cheese with short expiry left, get rid of them immediately.
Go home and check your boxes of macaroni and cheese immediately. Don't put yourself at risk over a bowl of noodles. Get rid of those boxes and buy yourself some new ones.
