Sitting with crossed legs is extremely provocative posture when it comes to women in skirts

But this is not a healthy habit as doctors warn women not to do it since consequences can be terrifying. So, if you want to save the health of your spine, then you have to know that sitting like that in half an hour can be very bad for your back.

In case you are used to sitting in such position, then at least switch legs at frequent intervals.

The German orthopedist Reinhard Schneiderhan, the president of the Association which promotes health of the spine says that the most important thing is sitting with a frequent change of position.

He rejects the usual advice to sit upright as much as possible.

There is no one who can endure sitting in such position because you start feeling tension. People, in fact, are not made for sitting, but the complete avoidance of this position is not a practical option for the modern man, says Dr. Schneiderhan.
