There is something about movies that include taboo relationships that just seem to hook us right in. It doesn't matter if it is forbidden love between cousins, brothers and sisters, or step-family members, we end up totally fascinated by the whole storyline no matter how cringeworthy it is. We can almost guarantee that most of you have watched and loved at least a couple of these movies.

Lolita

The 1962 and 1997 movies were based on a 1955 novel written by Vladimir Nabokov. The tale is about Humbert Humbert, a middle-aged literature professor. He ends up marrying his landlady so that he can get involved with her hypersexual 12-year-old daughter.

Flowers In The Attic

This 1979 novel by VC Andrews was made into a movie in 1987 again as a TV movie in 2014. It was a first in a series of books followed by Petals on the Wind, If There Be Thorns, Seeds of Yesterday, and Garden of Shadows. The story is told from the viewpoint of the oldest daughter, Cathy Dollanganger. She and her brother begin to have an incestuous relationship with each other after spending years locked in an attic by their mother and super evil grandmother with their other siblings.

Savage Grace

In this 2007 film, Julianne Moore plays Barbara Baekeland who marries way above her class and gives birth to a homosexual son played by Eddie Redmayne. She desperately tries to cure her son of his homosexuality even if it means seducing him herself.

Clueless

We got a bit hard-core there with those above relationships, so we decided to show you one that is only mildly creepy. At the end of the movie, Cher ends up snagging her man, Josh. We are all super happy for the couple until we remember that he is her ex-stepbrother.

Cruel Intentions

These two overly-sexual, spoiled-rotten-rich teens, who are step-siblings, make a bet to deflower the virgin daughter of their school's headmaster. The sexual tension between Sebastian and Kathryn is thick. It is clear that the pair wants each other's bodies but they also seem to really hate each other. Between the sexual tensions between the step-siblings making us gag a bit and the love that blossoms between Sebastian and Annette, this is one movie that you cannot help get hooked into.

The Ballad of Jack and Rose

Jack is a single father of a daughter named Rose who live on an isolated island. He becomes involved with a woman named Kathleen and moves her and her sons in with them. All of the isolation makes Rose develop an unhappy fascination with her father, and she is not happy when the new woman and her sons move in with them.

August: Osage County

This is a tale of three sisters who have to come home to their crazy mother for their father's funeral. They, along with their spouses and other family members, have to deal with the mother's craziness while she tells each and every one of them how she feels about them. The family dynamics are absolutely crazy, but this one landed on our list because of the characters Little Charles and Ivy. These two are cousins who are secretly in love with each other and later find out they are actually siblings.

The Dreamers

This movie is set in 1968 Paris during the student riots. An American student befriends a brother and sister who used to be conjoined twins and lives with them while his parents are away. This brother and sister sleep naked together, and it is clearly insinuated that they are also sleeping together especially after the American joins in their fantasies.

Tadpole

Sigourney Weaver plays Eve who is Oscar's step-mother. Even though there are plenty of great looking girls around him that are his age, he becomes obsessed and falls in love with his step-mother.

Star Wars: Episode IV — A New Hope

This was by far the most heartbreaking incestuous relationship of all. Star Wars fans around the world were rooting for Luke and Leia to get together. It was truly a shocker to not only find out that they were siblings but twins at that.
