This influencer from Germany was offered $160,000 for a random mouldy mobile phone cover that she put for sale on eBay

27-year-old Bianca Classen is a beauty influencer from Germany with youtube subscribers up to a massive 6 million. Just for fun, Bianca listed the mouldy cover on eBay as 'modern art' and was shocked when offered $160,000.

She decided to give the money to a homeless charity but canceled the auction after realizing she would have to pay 10 percent tax first.

The woman who goes by the name 'Bibi' on YouTube is a famous influencer

She shared the story of how the cover got wet while she was taking underwater photos, before leaving it in a cupboard and forgetting about it.

Since the cover was wet, it got covered with mould which pretty much looked like modern art.

The people loved the unusual cover and the bids quickly racked up to $143,746. But this also means Bianca would have to pay $15,703 in tax before she could give the money to charity.

The influencer politely declined the generous offer after learning about the tax. She was concerned if she paid the tax first, the buyer might not then pay up.

According to Bianca, the first eight hours of the auction were crazy but then things ground to a halt after reaching more than 200 offers.

It's not clear whether the buyer was actually interested in the 'modern art' themed phone cover or was he a die-hard fan of the influencer. Bianca's YouTube channel BibisBeautyPalace has been operating since 2012.

Bianca and her husband decided to donate to the homeless charity on their own as they didn't want the needy people to not get the help they were promised.
