This 33-year-old Italian man purposely infected 30 women with HIV. Out of the women, there is a 14-year-old girl and another victim who passed the virus onto her newborn baby. Using the nickname "Hearty Style" on social media, Valentino Talluto seduced dozens of young women often dating a couple of them at a time. His youngest victim was 14 years old while his oldest was about 40 years old. Male partners of three of his victims were also infected as was the baby of a fourth.
Italian Man Who Intentionally Infected 30 Women With HIV Is Jailed For 24 Years

Talluto has had sexual intercourse with 53 partners between 2006 when he was diagnosed as HIV positive and his arrest in 2015. 30 of the women were infected by him. When he was sentenced, he expressed regret for what had happened but claimed he did not realize the consequences of his despicable actions.

Throughout his trial, the women described how he wooed them, claimed to have fallen in love with them, then persuaded them to have unprotected sex with him. He told the women, who insisted that he wear a condom, that he was allergic and had been recently tested for HIV with negative results.
The women found out they were HIV positive by chance because of other illnesses and medical conditions or after other women he dated ended up being positive raised some alarm. When confronted, he said it had nothing to do with him.
His defense argued that his actions were imprudent but not intentional.

Some of these women even stayed with Talluto for months after finding out their HIV statuses. Most of the relationships ended, though, due to his cheating. At any one time, Talluto was juggling up to six different relationships.
Throughout the trial, each woman described the horrors of having HIV which includes the stigma that comes with having it and how it caused their families to distance themselves.

The prosecution fought to give Talluto life in prison due to his "willful injury" and causing an epidemic.
'Talluto has never cooperated, he has made false statements, he has always denied any responsibility, even in the face of the evidence. His actions were intended to sow death,' prosecutor Elena Neri told the court last month.

However, the defense presented a different narrative stating Talluto was just a young man eager for affection who had not known either of his parents growing up. His mother was an HIV positive drug addict who passed away when he was four.

His defense continued to say that Talluto did not intentionally try to spread the virus. He said he used a condom most of the time he had intercourse unless he was caught in the heat of the action and did not wrap up. He also said that it was impossible to prove that his client was the one to infect these women, that they could have been infected by other partners they had intercourse with. The specific strain of HIV that Talluto and these women all have is the most widespread strain in all of Europe.

When speaking for himself, Talluto said, "Many of the girls know my friends and family. They say that I wanted to infect as many people as possible. If that had been the case, I would have gone for casual sex in bars, I would not have brought them into my life."
Most surprisingly, one of the women absolutely refuses to give up on Talluto. She told the court that he told her he had HIV and how she forgave him for cheating on her. She says, "We want to get married. I'm still in love with Valentino, he's not the monster that everyone describes."
We think she may have a few screws loose.
