Jennifer Lawrence Reveals Degrading Act She Had To Perform To Launch Career

#1 Lawrence has opened up about her own experiences with sexual harassment in Hollywood.

#2 Discussing the early years of her career, she said during a speech at Elle's 'Women in Hollywood' event on Monday night:

During this time a female producer had me do a nude line-up with about five women who were much, much, thinner than me.

#3 We are stood side-by-side with the only tape covering our privates.

After that degrading and humiliating line-up, the female producer told me I should use the naked photos of myself as inspiration for my diet.

#4 Lawrence continued:

The director of that film asked me if he could have me star in a porno as that character among many other things that are too inappropriate to repeat here.

#5 Lawrence asked a male producer in the film about this unrealistic diet regime, After being told to lose 15 pounds in two weeks for the role,

To which he confessed he "didn't know why everyone thought [she] was so fat," as he, "thought she was perfectly fuckable".

#6 Lawrence said:

she felt 'trapped' by what had happened to her, which meant she "let myself be treated a certain way because I felt I had to for my career."

#7 Those incidents occurred when she was still just a teenager said, Lawrence.

#8 She added:

"We will stop normalizing these horrific situations. We will change this narrative and make a difference for all of those individuals pursuing their dreams."

#9 Lawrence's appearance at the Women in Hollywood event came after she publicly condemned movie mogul Weinstein.

#10 Lawrence said in a statement to Variety.

"I was deeply disturbed to hear the news about Harvey Weinstein's behavior."

#12 It’s also been reported UK police are investigating three further sexual assault allegations in London, all involving the Hollywood producer.
