Julia Fox Says Owning A Birkin Bag 'Is Anxiety Inducing' As 'It's A Lot Of Pressure'
Julia Fox is now opening up about her brief relationship with Kanye West and how the relationship changed her life.
The Uncut Gems actor hit headlines earlier this year when it was confirmed that the duo had been dating. Though they have now broken up, Fox told Entertainment Tonight that the short relationship was "the best thing that could have happened to me."
Though not every part of the relationship was happy for her and one thing has left her under pressure and anxious..a Birkin bag.
Talking to The New York Times, Fox revealed that West gifted her a black ostrich leather Hermès Birkin bag.
The bags that have their price tags starting from $10,000, Fox shares what it is really like owning such an expensive accessory.
"I don’t know if you know about owning a Birkin when you’re not a rich person, but it’s like the most anxiety-inducing thing ever," Fox said, adding: "You’re checking on the Birkin, making sure it’s still there, that it didn’t magically grow wings.
"It’s scary to have a Birkin. It’s a lot of pressure."
Fox says that because of the pressure and anxiety, for now, it has gone back in its box for safekeeping, to protect it from any thing bad happening.
Fox's best friend and stylist Briana Andalore was also gifted an indigo bag by West but told the Times that she is yet to actually take it out.
Despite breaking up in a very short time and admitting that she lost weight during the course of the relationship, Fox told Entertainment Tonight that dating the rapper - who has legally changed name to Ye - was "like hitting a reset button."
"It kind of brought a spark back into my life that I had kind of forgotten about," she said of their short-lived romance.
Fox also admitted that even though they have broken up but they are still friends: "We're still friends, yeah," before adding that she was "too busy" to commit to another relationship.
Though it seems like it was not an easy breakup as after their split, Fox has deleted all images of her and the rapper from her Instagram account, and West appears to not be following Fox on the social media platform anymore.
