22-year-old pop singer Justin Bieber is famous for sparking controversy wherever he goes and this time it seems like the star has gotten himself into big trouble as it has been reported that, on account of his previous behaviour, Bieber has been banned from performing in China.

It seems like the 22-year old pop idol, Justin Bieber despite trying hard to stay out of the headlines to avoid any controversy has landed himself in trouble once again.
It is reported that Bieber has been banned from performing in Mainland China due to his controversial attitude both on and off the stage. In response to a Bieber fan in China, the Beijing Municipal Bureau of Culture on its website gave a detailed answer, as to why they have banned the entrance of Bieber in their country.

In their statement they wrote, "Justin Bieber is a gifted singer, but he is also a controversial young foreign singer. In order to maintain order in the Chinese market and purify the Chinese performance environment, it is not suitable to bring in badly behaved entertainers."

They further wrote, "We hope that as Justin Bieber matures, he can continue to improve his own words and actions, and truly become a singer beloved by the public."

Bieber as part of his Believe tour, last performed in China in 2013, where he caused quite a ruckus for his controversial behavior, as he was captured on camera being carried up to the Great Wall of China by his bodyguards, an action which was found offensive by many native Chinese.

Though in their response they also hinted that this ban on the singer is not permanent and they could consider their decision, only if Bieber matures enough to show responsible behavior.
Unlike Bieber who was banned for his bad behavior, China has also banned other foreign artists and performers for various political reasons.

This 'purity' ban was also faced by other musicians like Maroon 5, Oasis and Lady Gaga for showing their support for Tibet.
Not only this but in 2008, Icelandic pop queen Bjork was banned after calling for Tibetan independence during a gig in Shanghai.

It is not to be forgotten that Bieber is also quite famous for his immature and offensive behavior in other countries too. In the USA, he was arrested for drunk driving and an incident in which he urinated in a janitor's bucket and yelled "F--- Bill Clinton!" at a portrait of the former president.
In 2014, Bieber was arrested for assaulting a local limousine driver in Toronto.
