But don't worry, the self-proclaimed "greatest living rockstar on the planet" appears to have regained his number one spot at the forefront of the media this week. Firstly he stole the show at the Met Gala when he showed up with a shocking new look, and now he's controversially fired his security guard, Steve Stanulis.

The word on the street is that the 39-year-old rapper lost his rag when he saw his bodyguard handing his reality star squeeze a package from reception and chatting with her. The incident took place outside Kimmie's hotel room at the Waldorf Astoria in NYC in the run up to Monday evening's Met Gala, and resulted in Yeezy erupting into a fit of rage. According to the New York Daily News' Confidential column, an eyewitness said: "Something happened at the Waldorf Astoria where Kanye just lost it."

A few hours after the pair locked horns, Steve was sacked by the cocksure rapper because he believed he was flirting with his wife. However, the shamed security guard was quick to quash these rumours. He said: "I'm a happily married man with three children and I have no comment."
