The John Wick actor recently shared with Stephen Colbert in an interview that there are only two celebrities that he'd ever ask for autographs.

During a quick-fire quiz about his life, the 57-year-old said: "Lou Reed.

"But it wasn't for me — it was for a friend, and [Lou] was cool about it.

"It was [on] a little piece of paper, and it was [in] blue ink… Yeah, it was good. It just said, 'Lou Reed.' "

"It would have been really disappointing if it didn't say 'Lou Reed'," joked Colbert, to which Keanu replied: "I know, but it could have said, 'All my best' or ... "

And now guess the second person on the list!

Jumping in before the next question, Keanu remembered: "Oh, I asked for another one, George Carlin."

Keanu had worked with the comedy icon on Bill and Ted's Excellent Adventure.

"I'm so jealous. I'm such a fan. And that was for you?" asked the host.

"Yeah," said Keanu, "He wrote … I think it was, 'Dear Keanu, f**k you!' "

However, Kenau was later left much disappointed after he found that the message was not very unique.

He added: "And I always thought that he wrote that for men and then I met someone else who said that he wrote the same thing to them! Anyway, beautiful."

Wow. That hurts.

During the interview, the actor also discussed the 'sad Keanu meme'.

You know the image of the pretty morose-looking star sitting alone on a bench while tucking into a sandwich caught the hearts and minds of his fans around the world, with many using it to illustrate the darkest moments in their lives.

Well, Keanu finally shares his take on the meme and gives an insight into what really happened.

Presented with the picture, Keanu simply said: "I’m just eating a sandwich, man!"

And when asked if he was actually feeling down, he admitted: "I had some stuff going on."
