The pop star says the teeth sit in small jars around her home, and she is openly asking fans to send her more.
Kesha has revealed that her home contains jars filled with human teeth. The pop star does not keep the collection hidden away either, and she joked that part of the fun comes from displaying it where visitors can see it.
The confession followed Kesha saying she is 'mostly' celibate, so she may not be too concerned about making men feel comfortable in her home. Still, the teeth are not there only to keep straight men at a distance. The collection began through her connection with fans and grew from one unusual request into a full decorating choice.
On Wednesday, July 15, the singer-songwriter joined Bowen Yang and Matt Rogers on the Las Culturistas podcast. During the conversation, she explained how she somehow ended up 'collecting teeth' and why small jars of them are now spread around her house.
Kesha may be willing to accept lost teeth from strangers, but she was not claiming to be the actual tooth fairy. Her collection started through the people who follow her music rather than through a plan to gather teeth from children.
The 'Your Love is My Drug' singer said the idea took hold when she 'became obsessed with [her] fans'. A supporter mentioned that their child had lost some teeth, and Kesha responded with the question most people would never expect from a famous musician.
Instead of treating the teeth as a single odd souvenir, she began finding ways to use and display them. That first exchange opened the door to a collection that now includes both wearable pieces and jars placed around her home.
Kesha explained how the first offer quickly became something much bigger: "Someone was like, 'My child lost their teeth,' and I was like, 'Can I have them?' I made a necklace, an earring and then a belt and then a crown. The crown's wild."
The necklace and earring would already make the collection unusual, but she did not stop there. When asked why she kept gathering teeth, Kesha gave a reason that sounded as playful as the objects themselves: "Then I just started collecting them because it kind of freaks out straight men. I put them by the door... I collect human teeth."
She then explained how the loose teeth became part of the decor rather than being packed away out of sight: "I just started putting them all over my home... In little jars."
The collection grew from jewelry into home decor
Kesha's description makes clear that this is no longer a single fan gift kept in a drawer. She has used the teeth to make a necklace, one earring, a belt, and a crown, with the crown standing out even to her as the wildest piece.
The rest of the collection appears to serve a different purpose. Teeth stored in little jars can be placed around a room, while the ones near the door are positioned where visitors may notice them as soon as they arrive.
That placement helps explain her joke about straight men. The display is both a collection tied to her fans and an easy way to see how guests react when they realize the small objects in the jars are real human teeth. The mix of wearable pieces and home displays also explains why she now describes it as a full collection.
It is difficult to tell where Kesha's serious interest ends and the joke begins, but she did bring up a practical part of the tooth fairy routine. Once a parent removes a lost tooth from beneath a child's pillow, the tooth still has to go somewhere.
Rather than focusing only on why she wants the teeth, Kesha turned the question back toward the people who already have them. She asked: "And where are they.. Do you flush them down the toilet? Where are they going?"
The question is funny because most people think about the exchange under the pillow, not what happens to the tooth afterward. Kesha's collection gives her a ready answer, even if it is not one most parents would expect to hear from a pop star.
Kesha offered herself as the destination for unwanted teeth
The podcast hosts were interested in the same missing step: where do all those teeth end up once families no longer want to keep them? Kesha did not hesitate to volunteer.
Her answer turned the collection from an old story into an active request. She was not only explaining how the jars began; she was telling listeners that she still wanted more teeth.
That makes the fan connection central to the hobby. What began with a supporter offering a child's lost teeth has grown into jewelry, larger handmade pieces, and jars displayed throughout Kesha's home.
When Yang and Rogers raised the same question about what people should do with the teeth, Kesha answered with a simple invitation: "Give them to me..."
She then made the request more direct, leaving little room for listeners to think she was speaking only in theory: "Can I actually have your teeth, please? It's not a drill, not a joke. I am a pop star and I need your teeth."
Fans soon began reacting to the appeal. Many were less shocked by the fact that Kesha collects teeth than amused by how naturally the request seemed to fit her public personality.
Fans treated the confession as unmistakably Kesha
The response was not dominated by concern over the jars. Instead, people joked about possible album titles, unusual merchandise, and which types of teeth she might prefer to receive.
Several comments focused on the way Kesha introduced herself while asking for teeth. Calling herself a pop star and saying she needed them made the strange request sound less like a serious demand and more like a line only she would deliver.
Others admitted that the same request from a different celebrity might feel alarming. Coming from Kesha, they felt it matched the humor and eccentricity they already associated with her.
One X user turned the collection into a merchandise pitch: "kesha collecting teeth is peak pop star energy. merch idea: Teeth Collector vinyl with a mystery molar in each pre order box. would she prefer wisdom teeth or baby teeth tho, asking for a friend."
"I'm a pop star, give me your teeth' is the most Kesha sentence ever uttered and I'm obsessed. Next album drop: Teeth Collector featuring a featuring a scream sample from her dentist," another user added.
A third person summed up why the request did not feel completely out of character: "Wait, Kesha collecting teeth for fun is actually real? lmao If any other pop star asked for my teeth, I'd be terrified, but since it's Kesha, it somehow makes perfect sense."
