MacKenzie Scott is the queen we need. After her divorce from Jeff Bezos, Scott had pledged to give away as much money as she can and it seems like she’s keeping her word as she gives away yet another $2.7bn this year.

MacKenzie Scott, Jeff Bezos’ ex-wife has announced she would be giving away $2.7bn this year to charity.
She has also announced that the beneficiaries of her philanthropy would be 286 organizations in the USA.
In a self-published post on Medium, she detailed her reasons for selecting those particular organizations.
She along with her new husband are donating as much as they can to encourage others to do the same.

She said she was against the concentration of wealth among an elite few and enlisted the help of experts to research the most effective way of giving her wealth away.
This time she has focused on organizations that support art and culture, refugee groups and humanitarian organizations.
"These are people who have spent years successfully advancing humanitarian aims, often without knowing whether there will be any money in their bank accounts in two months. What do we think they might do with more cash on hand than they expected?"
"Buy needed supplies. Find new creative ways to help. Hire a few extra team members they know they can pay for the next five years. Buy chairs for them. Stop having to work every weekend."

This is after she had already given away $8 million to a tribal college in the USA and also gave away $4.1 billion in December of 2020 alone.
