#1 Scorpions On A Stick

In Northern China, eating scorpions while they are still alive is considered an art form. Street vendors sell the 'tasty treats' to hungry patrons by the dozens, just like you would buy a hot dog on the streets in the United States.

You may consider this bizarre, but people in different parts of the world have different foods they enjoy, and sometimes that means eating them RAW.

We've all seen the videos of people poking at a prepared fish and seeing it pop back to life it turns out that while some are really not fully dead, some are prepared with their heads still intact and uncooked, which means when they are forked, the nerves actually do have life in them.

#2 Live Octopus

In many Asian countries eating octopus is a special treat. They are rarely ever cooked, but instead eaten raw, and sometimes still alive. Baby octopus is eaten whole, and it's never cooked. A full grown octopus is cut up into chunks, but here's the catch... even cut into small pieces, the eight-legged creature is still kicking for life because of all the nerves and muscles in the complex tentacles.

The octopus is a specialty when rolled in a leaf with garlic, green onion, and some sauce and eaten like a taco. But you can feel the pieces moving when you chew it.

#3 Dancing Frog Legs

Recently, a video on YouTube went viral when two guys decided to prepare frogs legs for a dinner and they could not believe that the skinned and sliced legs were still moving on the plate.

When prepared by a skilled chef, frog legs are pretty delicious. But just imagine those legs moving when you are biting into them. Yeah, you heard it right, at the time of death, a frog's legs are still biologically functional, even when they are cut up or skinned, just like the fish and octopus you see in the crazy food videos from Asia.

#4 Sodium Ions Give The Legs A Charge

You can get the same effect by adding simple table salt to the legs while they're still raw and on a plate. That's because table salt contains the same kind of sodium ions that are used in batteries. The sodium ions enter the negatively charged muscle cells. They actually look like they are dancing, or trying to get out of the kitchen before they hit the frying pan.

#5 Frog Legs Dancing With A Little Salt

If you can eat food that is still wriggling around while it enters your mouth, then you have a better stomach than most of us do. Some people think it is bizarre, cruel, or even grotesque. The truth is, raw foods can give your worms or parasites. But this video of the dancing frog legs has over 11 million views, and they are planning to fry them up in a greasy pan after they entertain you with this little trick.
