Mama June Loses Custody Of Daughter Honey Boo Boo To Daughter Lauryn

The 16-year-old reality star was in the center of a battle between her mother, Mama June Shannon, 42, and her elder sister, Lauryn Efird, 22.

According to court records filed in Georgia, Lauryn, also known as Pumpkin, was awarded permanent custody of the Here Comes Honey Boo Boo star.

The final ruling was handed down in April. 

According to testimony from the hearing, the former Toddlers And Tiaras star has been living with Lauryn and her husband, Josh Efird, 25, since 2019.

The Mother June: The From Not to Hot star will be allowed visitations with Lauryn's consent and must pay $800 in child support until Alana is 18.

June lost custody of the teen in 2019 after being jailed on drug charges with her previous partner, Geno Doak, 49.

The former stage mom had reached rock bottom and had to sell her home at a loss to earn some quick cash. When the money ran out, the former beauty pageant contestant claimed she lived in her car before entering treatment.

Pumpkin was granted temporary custody in August of that year, and the adolescent has lived with her ever since. According to court filings, both parties agreed to the arrangement.

The custody judgment is not the only development in the Efirds' expanding family.

Lauryn and Josh have four children: Ella, four, Bentley, ten months, and twins, a boy, and a girl, born on May 19.

This comes after it is revealed that June is a married lady.

After only a few months of dating, the celebrity secretly married her lover Justin Stroud, 34, in Georgia.

Mama June may be seen beaming with her other half while flashing a massive diamond ring in a selfie released by the actress.

According to The Sun, the Shannon family matriarch is claimed to have married her younger beau on March 23 at a Georgia courthouse.

Although June and her younger boyfriend have only been dating for a few months, they ignited engagement rumors in March of this year when they were spotted searching for rings together at an Alabama diamond store.

June's previous relationship with Doak ended in acrimony.

In a recent interview with The Sun, June gushed about Justin: 'We've known one other for a year now. We were best friends, and in the past eight months, we decided to take it to the next level.'

According to reports, Justin was served with an arrest warrant in Florida last October after violating his probation on drug and burglary charges.

Mama June was previously engaged to Sugar Bear - real name Mike Thompson - for 16 months before splitting in September 2014.

The couple was not officially married, but they did hold a commitment ceremony together.

Sugar Bear later married Jennifer Lamb Thompson.
