Man Discovers Wife Has Been Crushed And Eaten By 30ft-Python After Noticing Its Stomach

A man in Indonesia searching for his wife was shocked to see a python with a "large" bulge in its stomach.

The mother-of-five Siriati encountered a massive 30-foot python on Tuesday morning, July 2, while traveling to see her brother in Indonesia. 

Her plan was to buy medication at a nearby market.

Adiansa's 36-year-old husband initially got worried when her brother called.

He was inquiring if Siriati had left to meet him before their journey to the Luwu Regency in South Sulawesi.

Concerned that she hadn't reached her destination yet, he resumed his walk along the jungle track after Adiansa confirmed that she had really left to meet him.

He found Siriati's slippers there by accident.

The non-venomous reptile with "a very large belly" was horrifyingly discovered by him curled up by the trail in the undergrowth.

Adiansa, who had already beaten and slayed the beast with a wooden stake, was horrified by the finding and urged his tribe to get together and slice open the beast's stomach.

Upon discovering a deceased Siriati within the killer python, the cavalry carried her home and buried her the following morning.

After looking into it, Iyang, the secretary of Siteba Village, came to the conclusion that the mother was killed by the reptile at 7.30 am.

The 38-year-old said: "The victim wanted to go out to buy her child's medicine. Her youngest son is three years old. She was visiting her brother and had to go through the forest first."

"Her brother waited for a long time, but the victim didn't come. That's why her brother called the victim's husband. The husband said that Suriati had been gone since early morning."

"So the husband went looking for his wife, he found her sandals on the road in the middle of the forest. He suspected that they had been eaten by a snake because there were snake tracks there."

He continued: "This snake more or less dragged the victim five meters from the location."

As per Adjunct Police Commissioner Idul, the Chief of Walenrang Police, the body of the young mother was discovered undamaged.

He said: "The condition of the body was intact but perhaps the bones had been crushed. The body is already at the funeral home for a religious ceremony."

Regarding the marks on her leg, he continued, saying: "We think it was a snake bite. After being bitten, it immediately wrapped itself around the leg and finally paralysed the victim."
