Dogs are man’s best friends. These critters are loyal, loving and energetic. However, some humans do not have the compassion for dogs, even leading to abuse.A horrifying video has surfaced online which captures the moment a man beats a dog repeatedly for not being able to learn the alphabet.

Distressing footage filmed the 'bully' violently striking the dog as he lost his temper trying to teach the poor dog. The man attempted to teach the dog to write and recite the alphabet.

The video shows the man holding a pen in the frightened dog’s paw and reciting the alphabet “ABCD’ while moving the dog’s paw to write out the letters on a piece of paper in front of them. When the dog has no idea what the man wants him to do and fails to obey the command, the man strikes the dog hard on its face.

As the slaps became harder, another man can be heard laughing in the background. The film shows the man hitting the dog 11 times. The dog does open his mouth and bares its teeth, but that doesn’t stop the man from slapping the dog’s face again and again.
The video first appeared on social media in India, according to Metro, where people were sharing the clip for being 'funny'.

Elisa Allen, Director at PETA UK, told Metro:
This man is a coward and a bully who viciously slapped and upset a dog simply to assert his own pathetic idea of dominance.
The rise of smartphone technology and social media has given twisted individuals such as this one some fleeting viral fame.
PETA urges authorities to use the same technology to ensure that this man's deliberate and cruel attack on 'man's best friend' sees him charged and convicted under the law before his feelings of inadequacy take an even greater toll.

According to the IBTimes, the 30-second clip has prompted animal protective organizations to search for the man and bring the abuser to justice.
Many sites, however, took down the video when it received a huge backlash from the netizens, with sentiments for the dog’s poor condition.

People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals (PETA) hopes the man can be identified and punished. The RSPCA applauds people for stepping forward and turning in this kind of videos to help stop such horrible cruelty.
