For the first week of auditions on the 2016 season of the popular talent show ‘Britain's Got Talent' Alexandr Magala opened up with a death defying stunt that would make a statue wince. Magala is a sword swallower who has taken his talent to literal new heights. He starts his act off with a dagger down his throat and doing some back flips, one false move and he's going to have a bad day. Then he pulls out an even bigger blade that might almost reach his diaphragm. He then climbs up a pole, hangs upside down and then drops using nothing but his feet to stop him by squeezing the pole. He stops merely an inch or two from the ground, in the interview after he explains how he didn't plan on cutting it that close.
One of the best stunts I have seen on television, he was merely inches from death. The only reason he didn't get an instant pass from the judges was because they were too busy covering their eyes.
