Man Sprays His Walls With Sugar, The Reason Why Is Brilliant
#1 GregTheGardener on Youtube shows how to kill off an extreme ant infestation.
For this project he will use these common household items:
- honey
- sugar
- a cup for mixing
- a spray bottle
- Borax (this item can be found in the laundry isle of any supermarket.)
#2 He boils some water and adds it to his mixing cup.
Then, he adds 6 teaspoons of sugar, some honey, and 6-8 teaspoons of Borax.
#3 He stirs the mixture well and pours it into the spray bottle.
Note: If the ingredients aren't integrated well enough, they won't pass through the spray nozzle.
#4 Next, he sprays the mixture onto the ant trails outside.
The ants swarm to eat the mixture because it's so sweet, but the Borax stops them dead in their tracks later on.
"I believe they digest it, and it builds up a gas inside them and they explode," said GregTheGardener.
#5 He recommends re-spraying the ant trails over the next few days.
But do not spray it indoors, otherwise more ants will be attracted inside. Instead, spray the trail leading to their entry point.
#6 He also advises leaving a beer cap filled with the mixture by ant trails.
But make sure to block other animals from lapping up the liquid, as it could make them sick.
#7 The liquid will keep for two weeks and it is even safe to be sprayed on plants.
With luck, the ants will take the mixture back to their nest to feed the others.
