This is the gruesome moment a man plucks a painful-looking ingrown hair out of his beard - with just a needle.

Shiryu Gosi decided to record the moment he tackled the pesky hair, which had buried itself in his skin, causing a large lump to appear.

Shiryu uses a sterile needle to begin plucking the hair from his skin.

After nicking his skin slightly, the wound begins to lightly bleed as Shiryu grabs the skin with both hands.

He then squeezes pus from the open wound before finally managing to get hold of the full length of the hair and yank it out.

The clip, which was originally uploaded to YouTube by Shiryu in 2015, now has more than 1.2 million views after recently being shared on social media.

Alongside the clip, Shiryu wrote: "I was struggling with this ingrown hair for a long time until I could finally take it out with the help of a needle, I was lucky I could record the moment so please watch and share it."
