Meghan Markle Shows Off Her Impressive Engagement Ring

“His Royal Highness The Prince of Wales is delighted to announce the engagement of Prince Harry to Ms. Meghan Markle,” read the official statement released by Clarance House on behalf of Harry’s father, Prince Charles. “The wedding will take place in Spring 2018. Further details about the wedding day will be announced in due course.”

Prince Harry proposed to the actress earlier this month in London, where she is now living with her hubby-to-be, after quitting her acting job playing the role of Rachel Zane on the hit legal drama, 'Suits'.

Details of the proposal has been closely guarded by the prince who told reporters that they would come later while Markle quietly revealed that it was very romantic. The couple was seen for the first time since their engagement was announced in the Sunken Garden at Kensington Palace. This was only their second official appearance together as a couple. The first was their appearance together at the Invictus Games in September.

Cameras flashed highlighting Meghan Markle's Hollywood smile and bare legs as reporters barraged the couple with questions. The couple stood sheepishly on the stone steps while Markle clung to Prince Harry with both hands. The prince fielded questions while his fiance stared up lovingly at him when he declared that he just knew that she was the one from the first time that the two met.

Prince Harry divulged that he is over the moon to be engaged to Markle, who has been married once before, as she shyly said that she too is so happy. Before getting away from the reporters, Markle was asked to show off her ring.

She revealed the stunning ring, designed by Prince Harry, that features a gold band, two diamonds from Princess Diana's personal collection, and a third diamond from Botswana, a country of special significance to Prince Harry as he spent a lot of time there as a child. It also holds significance for the couple who safaried in Botswana in September.

The magnificent band was made by Cleave and Company, Court Jewellers and Medallists to Her Majesty the Queen, making it clear that Prince Harry had his grandmother’s full approval. The wedding is scheduled to happen next Spring after the birth of the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge's third child in April.

Markle was absolutely radiant in a wrap coat by Line the Label which she wore over a deep green dress. She was also rocking a pair of Aquazzura heels that retail for over $700.
