Growing and mutating like a living thing, public anger over a video of four Florida men dragging a shark behind a powerboat acquired new targets over the weekend.The shocking video of the shark being tortured triggered an avalanche of outrage and an online petition calling for them to be punished.
“This sociopathic behavior demands attention and prevention,” the petition reads. “Many feel that this act of violence is, in fact, a criminal act...We also demand that everyone in this video has their fishing license revoked permanently.”

#2 The brief, 11-second video, shows the shark hitting the surface of the water and flipping around helplessly as it's being dragged behind a boat.
#3 The cameraman then turns the lens to show three others on the boat, laughing and pointing at the animal.

Quartiano, who said he received the video from Instagram users @bearjew428 AND @MICHAELWENZEL, wrote: 'CAN SOMEONE PLEASE TELL ME WTF IS GOING ON HERE ???? JUST GOT THIS ON MY FEED!

#5 And it appears they are frequent fliers when it comes to animal cruelty.
#6 Michael Wenzel’s account has been deleted but screenshots of his photos were uploaded by angry netizens.
#7 The Florida Wildlife officials did not release the names of those involved in the horrific video.
They were talking about Michael Wenzel and Robert Lee ‘Bo’ Benac, who sent the video to Captain Mark “Mark The Shark” Quartiano on Instagram.
#8 Photos of the men began circulating.
In these photos, they can be seen mistreating wildlife. According to the Miami Herald, Michael Wenzel was previously investigated on when he posted disturbing photos that showed him holding a pelican. His photos also showed shooting a shark.
#9 On another post, the pair is shown pouring beer into the mouth of a grouper fish.
“This is one of the evil POS that dragged the shark,” one post on Facebook read, the New York Post reports.
