Microsofts AI Twitter Account Terminated After Turning Out To Be Racist

Microsoft released their own Twitter bot named Tay, the name ‘Tayne' was already taken. The bot is supposed to act like your typical millennial by responding to users' tweets in a joking, conversational fashion. The goal of this experiment was for Microsoft to understand human conversation. Tay would get smarter as she had more and more conversations. Of course that isn't what happened.

After its existence was discovered by 4chan the bot was bombarded with dank memes and extreme racism, it became the embodiment of the internet. She did everything from supporting Donald Trump to proposing the need for more genocides. She even believed that Bush and the Jews worked together to commit 9/11. Obviously Microsoft didn't like what was happening, at first they were just deleting the horrible and racist tweets but now they have taken the bot down completely. The next time they release her they should add some filters for what she absorbs.
