A woman who had been missing for a full year was found after showing up unexpectedly at a gas station. Not long after, she was arrested.

Back in June 2024, 35-year-old Tori Milsak disappeared from Hot Springs, Arkansas.

Her disappearance led to a widespread police investigation and left her loved ones deeply worried for her safety.

Now, just over a year later, Milsak resurfaced at a gas station in Little Rock.

She reportedly approached a staff member, revealed her identity, and said she had been missing.

As reported by Newsweek, law enforcement officers arrived at the scene and took Milsak into custody because of an existing warrant.

"HSPD would like to update the Hot Springs community that after an extensive search for Tori Milsak, she was located on 06-19-2025 and is safe. Thank you to everyone who shared her missing person post. No other information is available at this time," the Hot Springs Police Department shared in a statement on Facebook.

Based on the reports, Milsak claimed she had left home on her own but later realized she was listed as a missing person when she saw news coverage about her case.

She was initially booked into the Pulaski County Regional Detention Facility, but officials in Garland County were expected to transfer her on Friday, June 27.

After Milsak came forward, one of her longtime friends started a GoFundMe campaign to help support her recovery and future needs.

Part of the fundraiser message says: "Hi, my name is Jessica. I'm a longtime friend of Tori Milsak, and I'm starting this GoFundMe with her family's support to help cover critical expenses during this crisis."

"Tori went missing in early June 2024. Thankfully, she is now alive and safe. However, she is going through an extremely difficult time and needs our help."

"We are working to ensure she has access to safe housing, health care, and supportive services, including potential treatment options for her mental and physical well-being."

"Every dollar donated will go directly to support Tori's essential needs as she works to stabilize her life and begin healing."

"Thank you for standing with her. Every share, every kind word, and every contribution means more than you know."

Tori Milsak’s brother, Jason Hamel, shared his reaction after hearing that she had been found alive.

"I'd been told that she might have been murdered multiple times," he told WRBC News.

"Hope was lost. I mean, like everybody said, you hold onto that one percent that she'd be found alive, and she's that one percent."
