A MOTORIST has been caught on camera driving on the wrong side of the road after appearing to try to overtake waiting traffic.

The car was filmed driving head on towards another vehicle and then refusing to back up before being forced to reverse.
The shocking footage was filmed on a street in North London and posted on the Facebook page Idiot UK Drivers Exposed.
#2 The dashcam driver refuses to move and tells the woman she is on the wrong side of the road
The red Volkswagen is first seen driving on the wrong side of the road - past two waiting cars - towards another vehicle.
There are parked cars on either side of the road and only enough room for one vehicle.
Two motorists appear to be waiting for the car carrying the dashcam to pass before the woman driving the red car decides to overtake on the wrong side of the road and squeeze into the gap.
With only enough room for one car the two vehicles are locked in a stand off before the woman finally decides to reverse.
In the video credited to Facebook user Kuba Gadziacki the driver of the car filming the footage can be heard asking: "What's she doing? She has to go back more. She's going the wrong way"
The female driver then begins to reverse before stopping to gesticulate.
As the driver taking the footage refuses to budge she finally makes her way back onto her side of the road, reversing over a traffic island in the process.
The motorist filming the incident tells her: "You're going the wrong way madam", as his passenger adds: "Now she is expecting you to back up."
The two drivers almost come to blows after the red car makes it back onto the right side of the road.
The man in the car with dashcam then drives off laughing at what has just happened.

#3 The motorist eventually reverses - but manages to hit a traffic island in the process
Facebook users have been quick to condemn the driving, calling the motorist a "muppet".
Commenting on the video Dan Neal said: "She's a muppet, there were two cars waiting for the dashcam car to get clear & the VW driver tried to be smart & overtake on the opposite side of the island probably because she was stupid enough to wonder why they were waiting. She was totally at fault."
Facebook user Steve Carew added: "Reversing a car a distance should be part of the driving test and a fail if you're not able to.
"Quite obviously the driver of the red car is not only incapable of reversing safely and properly, but she also needs a sight test as she didn't spot the two cars waiting patiently for the camera car."
