According to The Stir, an unidentified mother let her child play with her iPhone while it was charging. The mother fell asleep and woke up to every parent's worst nightmare.

Tragic accident

When she woke up from her impromptu nap, she was immediately suspicious of the quietness surrounding her home. She was curious as to why her baby was not making any noise. According to Kidspot, it only took a few moments for the mother to discover her infant's body lying lifeless.

Despite her best efforts, rushing her child to the hospital, there was nothing the doctors could do. Her child was gone.

Wire chewed

The Mirror reported that the little girl ended up chewing through the rubber wiring and biting into the exposed cable that was plugged into the wall charging her phone. She was electrocuted.

What all parents should realize about the tragedy is "how easily it could happen to any child." The Stir points out: "It's not uncommon for parents to take a catnap from time to time. It's also not uncommon for moms and dads to charge their cell phones."

Warning for all

A nurse that was caring for the recently deceased child took a picture of the results of leaving your child unattended with electronics -even for a moment. She wanted the photo to serve as a warning for parents.
