Timothy Edward Robinson went missing 12 years back and the community exhausted all their in search of the 56-year old but in vain. However, the family is finally able to get closure after the crew from the YouTube channel Adventures With Purpose pulled his car out of the Willamette River during a live stream of an environmental clean-up on 26 May last year.
A man after having been reported missing for the past 12 years was found in a car 75 feet underwater.
Timothy Edward Robinson, from Oregon, US, disappeared on 26 November 2008 and was last seen driving his silver 2008 Mazda sedan. Despite extensive search conducted but in vain as the 56-year old was never seen again.
However, this was only till the crew from the famous youtube channel Adventures With Purpose pulled his car out of the Willamette River during a live stream of an environmental clean-up on 26 May last year.
In the heartbreaking clip shared on the channel, Mr. Robinson's silver sedan is seen recovered from the water.
As the group was pulling the car out of the water, the Adventures With Purpose host Jared Leisek makes the grim discovery.
"Call the cops, call the cops, call the cops!" he shouts at the other volunteers.
"So this got real, real quick. We were actually doing a live as we were pulling the body out, we were showing a little bit of the car and there's a body inside of it."
He further shares: "We were actually doing a live stream at the time, when we were doing our normal environmental clean up, we were pulling the car out of the river and at that moment in time we realised there was actually a body inside of it.
"That body belonged to Timothy Edward Robinson, who actually went missing 12 years ago."
After the video clip was shared on the internet, family members of Mr. Edwards posted a heartfelt thank you for giving their family closure.
Mr. Edward's niece, Jessica, wrote: "I've never watched your channel before, not until we got the call from detectives a few days ago asking if we knew a Timothy Robinson, and well, it's been 12 years since he became missing. This is my dad's brother, my uncle.
"I wanted to personally thank you for bringing closure to this family. It's been a long time and now he can finally be put to rest. Thank you and God bless."
Followers of the channel also lauded Jared and his team for making the discovery and helping the family give their much-needed closure after years of agony.
One viewer commented: "I hope this family has peace now, knowing that their loved one has been found. God bless you! Thanks."
