We've now had so many mass shootings that entrepreneurs see space in the market for a bulletproof blanket, made specifically to shield small children from gunfire. It seems that every other week lately (if it even goes for that long) you'll hear about another mass shooting. Be it at a school or elsewhere, the amount of children that are being conditioned to be afraid of going anywhere is just too damn high. That's where this new bulletproof ‘blanket' comes into play.

It's sad that it's come to this, but at least our first graders will have a little added protection of the worst was to happen in their school. It was originally produced for the police and military. The product came on the scene in June 2014. Since then, roughly 18 months ago, we've seen many more mass shootings, including the most recent in San Bernardino, California, where 14 people were killed and at least 17 others were injured.

#4 The blanket, or mat, is easily carried around by children and adults for protection against gunfire.

The mat is easy to put on and can be fastened around both adults and children fairly quickly. It's also easy to carry and lightweight and can be used on car trips, shopping, or even while outside playing. But it's a rough time when we have to be afraid to send out children to school with a bullet proof vest.
