Old Footage Of 20-year-old Keanu Reeves Presenting Teddy Bear At Convention Proves We Don’t Deserve Him

As if we didn't already adore Keanu enough, it turns out that one of his first jobs involved hosting a convention for stuffed animals.

Yes, it's as charming as it sounds, and as the 20-year-old Matrix star's old footage reappeared, people went crazy.

In the opening line of the video, Keanu, who was reporting the news for the Canadian news outlet Going Great magazine, CBC, in 1984, says: "When Going Great asked me to check out the first Canadian International Teddy Bear Convention, I thought I was in for a lot of craziness."

But Keanu seemed to be having a fantastic time, asking some tough questions like, "Why are all the bears called Teddy?" as he spoke with attendees of the convention.

Other stellar questions included: "What do your friends think about you collecting bears?".

Keanu says to his new furry friend at one point in the video while sporting some fierce shades telling: "We gotta go down to the bears-only cafe and talk about bears-ness. Listen, you know that bears-necessity contest? We've got problems, so listen, we'll go down, we'll talk business and hey, everything will be okay. I love this guy."

And you can't help but believe Keanu when he assures you and a bear that everything will be fine.

Reddit users adored the clip and praised the actor right away.

One user said: "How have I never seen this? I wish there were more people like Keanu around. So genuine."

Another seconded that opinion, saying: "Not only one of the coolest guys in Hollywood, but just may be one of the nicest!! STILL have yet to read, or hear about a fan who has had even the SLIGHTEST negative thing to say about having met him!!"

It also cheered my day. If that isn't the wholesome entertainment you need as the days grow shorter, I don't know what is. At one point, he even begins pretending to be a giant bear.
