This spider could have ended Gary’s life… Eek!
Omg! This Man Gets A Venomous Bite After Upsetting Large Nest Of Spiders
#1
Gary Lister was at his home in York when he tripped over a wooden back door step and scrambled as about 20 large spiders scurried out after him.
That is my nightmare, people.
As quoted in The York Press, Gary said, "They were fairly big, but I didn't think anything of it."
#2 Gary’s venomous spider bite
Gary continues, ""Half an hour later I had a sore spot on my leg.
"The next day the rash had got a bit larger, but my entire leg felt as though it was badly sunburnt.
"It was awful, even when I moved my toes, it killed."
IT WAS THE SPIDERS, GARY! GET THEE TO A HOSPITAL!
Venomous spider bite = trip to hospital

Thankfully, Gary is married, so his intelligent wife Heather urged him to seek medical care.
He reluctantly agreed to go, and next did something that may have saved his life: he bravely sought the creepy, biting creatures, and captured a spider to bring with him to the hospital.
#4 Sad to be in the hospital, Gary? You should be THRILLED TO BE ALIVE
Gary casually says, ""There were a few still around," he said. "I caught one and put it in a little vial and took it with me to A&E."
The doctor told him he was extremely lucky he came in. Gary had a massive infection in his leg, resulting in a fever, high heart and pulse rate, and low oxygen levels. Apparently it didn't affect his nerves of STEEL, because he nonchalantly shares that he take 8 pills per day now, but otherwise feels pretty good.
#5 Gary’s still alive to provide for this lovely family
False widow spiders are so called because they resemble the notorious black widow spiders. Both can END YOUR LIFE, so Gary was incredibly lucky for surviving.
His story made its way around his kids' school, and many of the students sent him get well cards.
Gary said, "It's all over the school at the moment I'm known as their spider daddy."
He may not have super powers, but his cavalier attitude about the whole thing makes him a hero in our eyes. Good lucky, Gary and stay away from that spider nest, you hear?
