This idea of a charity concert was put forward by Simon Cowell. The 57-year-old tweeted on Friday, "We hope to confirm a record tomorrow which will raise some money for the many people affected by this tragedy. Making calls tonight."
According to Simon, the song, which is yet to be chosen, will be ready by next week and all the proceedings will be going to the families of the victims.

However, if One Direction does participate they won't be performing together as Liam has to record in the US. The group of four have been on break since early 2016 and had last performed together on December 14, 2015, on the hit reality show X-factor.
