#1 They're Coming

Have you ever thought to yourself, "Why in the heck aren't there more creepy ventriloquist dummies out there?" Well, you're in luck, because very soon, the largest privately owned collection of ventriloquist dummies is going up for sale.

#2 No One Is Safe

#3 Three Decades Worth Of Collecting

Dan Willinger obviously loves these dummies. He's spent the last 30 years amassing around 350 ventriloquist figures and is said to have the largest personal collection in the world. But now he is releasing them for the rest of us to enjoy - or not.

#4 They're Worth Big Bucks

The entire collection, which includes antique dummies dating back to the late 1800s, is expected to fetch between $400,000 to $500,000. Though with the interest in the sale thus far, auctioneers are hoping to get much more from the dummy collection.

#5 They Range In Age And Condition

Some of the dummies were made a few years ago, while others have been fueling children's nightmares for a few hundred years. But he is not letting all of his collection go to the highest bidder. He has a few that he is keeping for his own. Those are celebrity dummies that have appeared on TV shows, movies, and with major acts.

#6 This Dummy Is Worth Over $50,000

The price of the dummies ranges from a few hundred dollars to a few thousand. This unusual dummy, a black police officer in excellent condition is expected to bring in the most money.

#7 Happy Hazard Is The Highlight Of The Sale

Cheerfully named "Happy Hazard", he is worth up to $50,000. This is presumably because he's collected the highest number of human souls. This auction representative says that they are all very valuable and it depends on the wear and movements each dummy is capable of. Happy Hazzard has moving eyes, jaw, and eyebrows. She has spent almost 16 months cataloging each dummy for auction.

#8 There Are Some TV Stars On Sale As Well

This dummy, seen in the 60s on The Twilight Zone, is expected to earn as much as $22,000. Age and condition play a huge role in their value, and this one, though a TV star, is chipped and worn. Otherwise, he could have gone for about $60,000 which is amazing, since Willinger purchased him for only $400 in the 1970s.

#9 The Auction Is Expecting Collectors And Celebrities

Willinger's cataloger claims that a few celebrities have registered to attend the auction, but he can't say which ones. Though she says most of the bidders are magicians and other collectors.

#10 What Have We Done To Deserve This

Dan Willinger had to let his collection go up for sale because his home and garage were literally overflowing with the freakish little dummies. He rented 8 storage spaces and once those were also filled, he decided to sell them off to help pay his bills in retirement. Though it could be from a deal he made with the Devil years ago.
