There are some things that are popular in the UK that will never really gain traction in America. Like a version of Top Gear that doesn't suck, the "u" in "colour" and "neighbour", and horrible cuisine (well, actually...). But there's another trend that started in the UK that people are trying stateside.
Text-door neighbors.
#1 Your text-door-neighbor is someone with an almost identical number to yours: you just replace the last digit in your phone number.
Your text-door-neighbor is someone with an almost identical number to yours: you just replace the last digit in your phone number.
#2 It doesn't look like people are too happy with receiving the random messages, however.
#3 Which doesn't make sense because, seriously, you have almost the same phone number as me, we are practically family.
#4 And other people just don't get what's going on.
#5 There are some who are just curmudgeons about the whole thing.
#6 But then there are glorious instances where people welcome their text-door neighbor with open arms.
#7 Like this kind, beautiful soul, who is embracing his neighborly duties.
#8 So for the people who are putting themselves out there...
#9 Keep being awesome and show your text-door neighbor some love so we can finally adopt something from the English and make it work here.
