The latest craze to take the internet by storm, men are upending their beautiful beards and posting monstrosities like this online.
Selfies under the hashtag #BeardsFromBelow show men take photos of their neck, their beard sitting on top, literally turning everything we knew about selfies upside down.
They're the selfies that require a double-take.
#1 The trend appears to have originally started on a beard appreciation blog called #beardsfrombelow.
The blog initially appears to have been designed to showcase the best shots facial hair from different angles but quickly evolved into something a bit more, er, different.
#2 Bearded men are taking pictures of themselves from below the chin, resulting in somewhat startling faceless photos.
The result looks something between an upside-down hairy phallus and Beaker from The Muppets Show.
#3 Depending on the size of the beard the ears can either be hidden completely or seemingly attached to the head incorrectly.
#7 People are also drawing similarities to Beaker from The Muppets…
#8 I think his is the creepiest of all:
#9 Double take:
Omg why?! For a moment that looks like the back of someone's head with tiny little ears..
#10 New face:
Some went as far as to draw faces on their neck or put on a pair of sunglasses
#11 Unique look:
Beard stubble only added to the effect of this beards from below selfie..
#12 Creating confusion:
'Took me a long time to figure out what I was looking at. It looks like the hair you pull out of a drain,' one person said..
