Phobia means intense fear. Phobias are described often as irrational, paralyzing fears.
Any given phobia will show psychological and physical symptoms when someone is faced with their fear. Symptoms can be increased heartbeat, anxiety, nausea, and panic just to name a few. The best way to treat phobias is to be seen and treated by a professional.
Many find it amusing to taunt people who have phobia. This is not nice and someone could actually getting hurt if someone goes into a fit of panic. It is best just to leave it alone and not antagonize them and just be thankful that you don't have that fear.
Ablutophobia
Ablutophobia is an extreme and irrational fear of bathing, washing or cleaning.
You will see this in many kids but a lot of times they are just not wanting to stop what they are doing and get cleaned up for the night. If however, this carries over into teenagers and adults then it will most likely become Ablutophobia. If people don't get treated for this they can end up having health issues and many will be alienated from others not wanting to be around the stench and also not wanting to catch any thing from them.
Ablutophobia can stem from several events. It could manifest from an accident involving water as a child. Could also happen if parents use water or bathing as a punishment.

Gephyrophobia
Gephyrophobia (pronounced as Jeff-ee-ro-pho-bia) is a fear of bridges.
Sometimes just looking at a bridge can trigger an anxiety attack in people who suffer from Gephyrophobia.
Gephyrophobia sometimes goes hand and had with Acrophobia - a fear of heights.
People who are afraid of bridges can also cause harm to themselves or others while attempting to walk across it. If a passenger in a car they can unintentionally cause an accident as well if their anxiety flares up in extreme while crossing it.

Hippopotomonstrosesquippedaliophobia is a fear of long words.
Hippopotomonstrosesquippedaliophobia - is a joke phobia that makes its rounds on the internet. There are no recorded casesas of yet although experts have identified it as a type of anxiety disorder.

Nomophobia
Nomophobia is the fear of being with out a cell phone or cell phone reception.
Nomophobia is a relatively a new phobia as it has only been around as long as cell phones have. In the UK a research firm was commissioned to study mobile phone user anxieties in 2010.
* 58% of men and 47% of women suffer from nomophobia.
* 53% of mobile phone users feel anxious when they lose their phone, have a dead battery or are outside a reliable coverage area.
* One in two people never cut their phone off.
Many experience phantom vibrations or think they hear some other kind of notification sound their phone makes - and reach for their phone when there in fact are no messages or calls coming in.
You might have Nomophobia if you experience any of these or constantly have to check your phone or check it when you get up in the middle of the night to go to the bathroom or feel you need to go back to the house to get your phone if you forgot it even if you are only going to the corner store 2 minutes away.

Luposlipaphobia
Luposlipaphobia is the fear of being pursued by timber wolves while wearing socks on a freshly waxed floor.
Luposlipaphobia - Gary Larson created this term for his popular comic The Far Side. It was a play on the idea that anything can be a phobia. It was intended purely for entertainment purposes although so argue that Luposlipaphobia is a real phobia.

Chaetophobia
Chaetophobia is the fear of hair. Mostly of loose hair, and typically become OCD about cleaning and making sure there are no loose hairs laying around...but some fear hair that's all over their body.
Some suffers of Chaetophobia also fear going bald. People with Chaetophobia also fear developing scalp or hair issues. They also avoid salons and hairy people or people with thick and or curly hair.
Some causes could be some believe hair to be dirty. This usually coincides with the fear of germs and not wanting to get sick or develop lice or other hair fungal infections.
Some symptoms include;
Many are obsessed with thinking about their hair all the time.
They may feel as if they are going crazy.
Just the sight of hair can cause trembling and shivers.
Feeling nauseated, queasy or suffering from various gastrointestinal conditions like diarrhea, cramps, vomiting etc.
Some tend to clean obsessively to ensure there is no hair lying around.
Some are known to experience a full blown panic attack.
This phobia is very treatable and is usually treated by psychotherapy and drugs, although the drug treatment isn't for long term use.

Phobophobia is the fear of fear itself, or in some cases the irrational fear of developing a phobia of something. Phobophobia originates from a panic disorder. Panic is the onset of sudden, unreasoning or hysterical fear.
Phobophobia can be a Self-Fulfilling Prophecy
Phobophobia is interesting in that it is one of the only disease fears that can actually lead to the feared outcome.
Anxiety and panic attacks are the most common symptoms of this phobia. A person who suffers from Phobophobia are at high risk of becoming a substance abuser and suicide if left untreated.
