Plus-Size Model Claps Back At Instagram For Deleting Her Account

Embracing Her Curves

The Spanish star, Natalia Lozano, was famous in her home country and around the world for her honest snapshots where she promoted body positivity while embracing her curves. She is a self-proclaimed feminist whose mission was to spread a message of self-love in people's timelines that are normally full of rail-thin models showing off their thigh gaps.

Starting Over

Natalia's upfront and open photos helped her gain more than 150,000 followers on her Instagram account. Instead of applauding Natalia for her achievement, they seem to be punishing her. They removed her profile from the site a few days after the new year.

Instead of sitting on her butt and accepting Instagram's decision, she chose to fight back. She created a new account using the same name as the old account that they shut down. To the 17,000 followers who have followed her on the new account she typed, "Instagram decides that what is left out," before going on about how posts that are not "socially established as correct" are removed.

Clap Back

While referencing the photo that prompted Instagram to take action against her, she said, "ENOUGH ALREADY fuck. My last photo of 2017 with some of my favorite works, in which I invest time, desire, people and great enthusiasm."

The Plea

"Natcurvylicious is not an Instagram account with followers. It is a personal struggle, a challenge, a perseverance, an effort, it is a job, it is a cry of courage, a way of life. Natcurvylicious is Natalia and really … losing her would mean a very hard blow," she continued pleading for Instagram to reconsider their decision and reinstate her original account.

What about them?

"It is a profile that I do not have now because society has decided that my body is not valid to be taught. That being fat, proclaiming it and enjoying it … is not valid for this social network," she continued. She also went on to list accounts that Instagram ignores like those who use violence, fake news, men who sexually harass women, and the accounts of scantily clad thin women.

"The woman is an object of consumption," she added, before going on to say how a "fat woman" is an exception to this because they give a "bad image."

Stop Hating

She is clearly frustrated with her situation and people's perception of women with bigger bodies. She begs, "I ask 2018 to stop hating … that you are a little at peace with yourselves … your light, even if you do not believe it shines … it shines bright and you do not need to turn anyone off for it … you are going to be much happier."

She is helping people.

She also goes on to talk about how women have come to her for help. "Two women have written to me today. One of them asked me for advice because her head of personal image practices does not want me to work in her company if she does not go on a diet. Another told me that she did a work test that came out incredible, said by the supervisor, but did not give the profile for his physique. What’s going on? WHAT’S GOING ON?"

Open Your Eyes

"We are many, many who work to change this situation," Natalia went on to write on her account. "Society does not open its eyes. And not only that, but try to silence those of us who give our faces and dare, in any way. Naked, dressed or as we get out of our holy p*ssy! And only together can we change all this."

Since Natalia's post went viral, her followers have started to come up. She was humbled by the amount of support she was getting and thanked her followers for their support while also restating that she does not understand why people get satisfaction by hurting others. We hope that she is able to get her account back, but if she does not, we are sure she will get her numbers back up very soon.
