#8. So how does it work?

Magic Leap tries to be pretty vague since they don't want competitors to swoop in but they describe it as "Magic Leap has a tiny projector that shines light onto a transparent lens, which deflects the light onto the retina. That pattern of light blends in so well with the light you're receiving from the real world that to your visual cortex, artificial objects are nearly indistinguishable from actual objects." - MIT Technology Review

So basically projector > glasses or lens (possibly contacts someday) > see fantasy as reality

#9. It sounds like Google Glass, which many people found disappointing

But supposedly it has a much wider view than Google Glass, aims to show images closer to the eye and refocusing the images to keep it looking sharp, and has a patent on zone plate diffraction patterning so it can show images at 12 different depths.

This mimics closer to how the eye actually works, making it easier to view and more realistic.

#10. Magic Leap claims to be trying to "blow away" their inner 11-year old

Just think of the games and shows possible with this type of technology!

Projections say this technology will be available in 1 to 3 years.
