A PRANKSTER is amazed his Facebook suitor still thinks he’s fallen for her scam – despite his asking her to be part of his HAREM and saying his middle name is SNAKE HIPS.
#1 James Stanley didn't expect the scammer to take him seriously, so has now joked he's engaged
James Stanley, 25, was surprised when a stranger claiming to be from the Philippines messaged him out of the blue earlier this month.
She got straight to the point and asked the single demolition worker if he had a partner and talk then turned to him sending her money, so he decided to have a joke.
James told the mystery woman she was free to be part of his harem of wives (in real life his Facebook friends), and from there the fun began.
#2 James was sure the unknown woman who realise he was joking, but then their conversation kept on going
He laughed: "I am just so glad that I have found love. I think Shakespeare would write about this.
"When the message came through I had the day off work and thought I would see how far I could take it, for a laugh.
"I was really expecting her to turn around and tell me to f*** off, but she kept coming back.
"I wasn't expecting that level of commitment.
#3 However, she made it pretty clear their relationship was all about the money
"She must think I am a complete gullible idiot, or she is just not very good at this scamming game.
"Now it seems I'm engaged, soon to be married!"
James often has people from the Philippines getting in touch with him because he spent time there while in the Merchant Navy.
When he received the woman's first message he thought he'd have a bit of fun, but when she didn't realise he was joking the gag ran and ran.
She asked him for around £73.50 to kick things off, with James instead offering to give her £10,000.
On top of this, he asked her to be his fifth wife and told her he lived in 'Jack House, Daniels Street with Coke Road' and 'Sweet Caroline Street, Blow Me a Kiss Road'.
#4 Even this joke message wasn't enough to put her off
Still she didn't realise anything was amiss, prompting him to give his name as James ‘Snake Hips' Stanley and James ‘Jeremy Kyle' Stanley.
Again nothing sank in, even when James said he could be with his new fiancée in an hour if he ran.
Instead, the woman pressed and pressed for him to transfer her some money seemingly not understand that wasn't going to happen.
James joked: "My mum is really pleased for me she's already picking out a dress and hat. But my brother is disappointed, he has lost his wing man.
"When I uploaded the screengrabs to Facebook it was just for a couple of mates I thought would find it funny.
"I was never expecting it to go viral."
