It seems that the relationship between King and his youngest son is not quite good. Prince Harry and Meghan Markle have been placed second last on the royal official website. The page was updated after the loss of Queen Elizabeth II.
Prince Harry, Meghan Markle Demoted To The Bottom Of The Totem Pole On Royal Family Website
Prince Harry and Meghan Markle have been placed at the bottom of the official royal website alongside the disgraced Prince Andrew in what appears to be an intentional and pointed action on the part of the royal family.
The official royal website's "The Royal Family" feature offers visitors the chance to read more about each member of the extended family. The article was revised to reflect the reign of King Charles III after the passing of Queen Elizabeth II.
Following Charles is his wife, the Queen Consort Camilla, then William and Catherine, the Prince and Princess of Wales, who will succeed Charles as the next monarch.
The Earl and Countess of Wessex, often known as Edward and Sophie, are mentioned after Prince Harry and his older brother in what is being interpreted as a snub.
Even though he is the youngest child of the late Queen Elizabeth and the Duke of Edinburgh, Edward is not immediately next in line to succeed to the throne.
Prince George, Princess Charlotte, and Prince Louis are his children who are next in line to succeed him as king after Prince William. Prince Harry would be granted the keys to the kingdom after Prince Louis.
Following the passing of the queen, Harry's family is the subject of great scrutiny. He and the Duchess of Sussex effectively gave up certain rights or military recognitions as they resigned from the royal family in 2020.
In February 2021, Buckingham Palace shared that, "the honorary military appointments and Royal patronages held by The Duke and Duchess will therefore be returned to Her Majesty, before being redistributed among working members of The Royal Family."
Prince Andrew, who has essentially been exiled from his family, is the only royal who appears beneath Harry and Meghan on the website. The titles of the Duke of York were permanently revoked and given back to the queen in January after he reached an out-of-court agreement following allegations of sexual abuse.
Considering these recent status updates, neither Harry nor Andrew are HRH.
The king's relationship with his youngest son is still in question in light of this most recent snub of Harry and Meghan.
