A man who was called out for his racist behaviour in a local Walmart decided to double down on his stance and started talking about his past as a firefighter and 9/11 among other things. He also told everyone to respect him and learn English.
In a video that has since gone viral, this Nebraska man in a local Walmart can be seen going off on a rant after being called out for his racist behaviour.
The woman who recorded the video provided the context that he had been berating a young employee for not speaking English and was “yelling at her for not being American.”
@Kaysmiles78 who recorded the man proceeded to step in and call him out for his racist attitude. The argument was already underway when Kay started recording.
“When you’re in America, you better learn our language,” says the man.
He also said that he should be respected because of his age and that he can say whatever he wants because of the ‘first amendment'.
He also claims in the video that he has a right to act that way because he is a retired firefighter and that firefighters died during 9/11.
He then proceeds to tell the woman recording to go to church and that she “needs some prayers.”
It is at this point that Walmart employees turn up to calm the situation down but were directing Kay to stop recording rather than calling the man out for his behaviour against their own employee.
Commenters were appaled by the racism and confused by the flawed logic that the man presented in his arguments.
It was also unfortunate that he had also missed his history lessons.
