The song "Mickey," was Toni Basil's one hit wonder when it was released in 1982. The performer grew up in Las Vegas and had recorded previous singles before but it wasn't until the lyrics of, "Oh Mickey you're so fine, you're so fine you blow my mind. Hey Mickey, hey Mickey," hit the airwaves that she got any recognition.

Although she released two more albums afterwards, Basil never got the same reception as she did with her previous song. Nonetheless, the woman has been busy as a dancer, actress, choreographer, and director, working with A-listers along the way. The 72-year-old has no plans of slowing down. She credits her love of dancing as her fountain of youth.

Basil used to be a cheerleader at school which she incorporated in her "Hey Mickey" music video. The multi-talented woman admits she still has that red and blue sweater.

Basil has choreographed shows for Tina Turner, David Bowie and films like My Best Friend's Wedding, Legally Blonde, and Charlie Wilson's War.

Dancer and art director Babson Baba Sy asked Basil to perform during a dance workshop. The 72-year-old left all the other student's speechless for all the right reasons.
