Michael Jordan is one of the most recognized basketball players ever. He is one of the most decorated players ever and just some of his accolades include:
NBA Rookie of the Year 1984 - 85.
14-Time NBA All-Star.
Six - Time NBA Champion.
He is also a successful businessman and has even been in a cult movie, ‘Space Jam.’
He has a rich family life and is a doting Father and husband. He has 5 kids, 2 sons and 3 daughters.
His oldest daughter is from his first marriage to Juanita Vanoy. Her name is Jasmine. Here is a photo of her at a young age being held by her dad.
Jasmine is a sports management graduate of Syracuse University. Even though she never has to work a day in her life she is just as motivated as her dad was.
She opened up about her time at Syracuse University to Chicago-based blog ‘The Boss Up.' She says that she did initially struggle because of all the attention put on her.
She said ‘When I first got here I honestly hated it. About a month or so before I officially moved, there was an article written about me coming to Syracuse and next thing I know the world knew where I was going.'
She continued ‘I had over 1,000 Facebook requests and who know how many Twitter followers I gained. Needless to say, that article brought unwanted attention on me and it made my first year hard because everyone knew my face and assumed they knew my story as well.'
Jasmine continued to open about how all the ‘whispers and rumors' almost pushed her to transfer schools and even drop out altogether.
She persevered though, and decided to put all her focus on school and graduating early.
She did not totally stay out of the spotlight during her time in school though. When she was a sophomore she co-hosted the Syracuse basketball team's Midnight Madness event.
She was very successful at school and graduated a year early with her sports management degree.
She has said about herself to ‘The Post-Standard' ‘I'm definitely not introverted. If you throw me into a cage of lions, I will teach the lions to dance.'
Even though the attention on her can be tough at times, Jasmine is proud of her dad and being a part of his legacy.
She said to ‘The Boss Up' ‘It's hard to knowing that your family is always living under a microscope. But I', humble, grateful, and thankful for the life I have.'
Jasmine has a strong social media presence and followers. Over 38 thousand people follow her on instagram and 16 thousand on twitter!
She is currently working as a Basketball Operations Coordinator for the Charlotte Hornets and has been doing so since May 2014.
She is in a happy relationship with a strikingly handsome young man that is all over her insta. For the most part though, she seems to live a private life.
She has clearly grown up into a smart and beautiful young woman. Her parents must be very proud of her.
