Sarah Hyland Wrongly Accused Of Body Shaming A Woman On Instagram

The Modern Family star is under fire these days and is being accused by fans for body shaming a woman in one of her Instagram's post. According to the clip which has now expired Hyland is driving around with her friend in the car and while passing by a car on the road she shouts to a woman in the car ‘How do you get into your car, miss?’

After posting the video on her Instagram account Hyland faced some serious backlash and fans accused her of body-shaming the woman. Some fans even took to other social media platforms where they criticized Hyland and bashed her for invading someone's privacy.

One fan posted,"@Sarah_Hyland really? Filming people in their car and mocking them? You’re an a**hole." Followed by a similar string of messages in which Hyland was targetted by a number of people each making their own assumptions and bashing her accordingly.

Fortunately, some sensible fans came to Hyland's support and pointed out that Hyland was laughing because of the missing car handle. In her support, one fan wrote, "It's obvious she was talking about the car Handle because it was missing!!! That's why she asked how she gets in the car!"

It seems like that the fans got it all wrong as Hyland was apparently not body shaming the lady but asked this question in reference to the woman's car whose car handle was missing.

Hyland cleaned up the air a day later and posted a video on her Instagram account in which she cleared the misunderstanding and explained that she was definitely not making fun, saying, “If you noticed, the car didn’t have a car handle. That’s why I was questioning how she got in the car or not. It didn’t have a handle.”

Hyland posted another follow-up video of herself rolling her eyes, saying, “Everyone takes things so personally these days.”
