Sarah Silverman To The Rescue

Sarah Silverman has never shied away from covering tabooed topics of the society including racism, sexism and politics using comedy to endorse them in a sarcastic fashion. Recently, a man, Jeremy Jamrozy, on Twitter responded to one of Silverman's trump related tweet and used a rather distasteful word for a female private part.

What one would have expected from Silverman is to bash the man and reply back to him in a similar way.

I Believe In You

However, Silverman decided to teach the man a lesson in a different way and replied him back in a sweet and compassionate manner. She responded, "I believe in you. I read ur timeline & I see what ur doing & your rage is a thinly veiled pain," she tweeted back. "But u know that. I know this feeling. Ps My back F--king sux too, see what happens when u choose love. I see it in you."

Yes, It Worked!

Surprisingly the man named Jeremy Jamrozy took back his words and replied back to her, explaining his issue, he wrote, "I can't choose love. A man that resembles Kevin Spacey took that away when I was 8. I can’t find peace if I could find that guy who ripped my body who stripped my innocence I’d kill him. He … me up and I’m poor so it's hard to get help."

Go To A Support Group

Relating to the pain of going through rage and punishing yourself, Silverman sympathised with the man and suggested him to get help from a support group, "Good. I want to kill him too so I can’t imagine your rage. All I know is this rage — and even if you could kill him— it’s punishing yourself. And you don’t deserve punishment. You deserve support. Go to one of these support groups. You might meet ur best bros there."

Don't Give Up, Keep Fighting...It's All Worth It In The End

Jamrozy agreed to get help and confessed in his tweet about his issues of trust, anti-social life and thus have no friends. Jeremy also apologized to Silverman for giving her hard time, "I will go. But I trust no one I've been burned so many times. I'd give the shirt off my back and every time I get burned. I'm super antisocial. I have no friends. I'm sorry I gave u shit."

Silverman encouraged Jamrozy to not give up and fight until the end of what its worth for and asked him to keep her posted about his condition, "I'm so psyched you’ll go. KEEP ME POSTED. Don’t give up on yourself. Be brave enough to risk getting burned. It’s what happens when u fight for yourself. But it’s worth it. I promise."

Determined To Fight Off The Negativity

Opening up to Silverman after a few more exchanges, Jamrozy told Silverman he is a big fan of her comedy and thinks she is funny. He also told her about his back pain and expressed his determination to not end up like his drug-addicted family and fight off the negativity in his life.

He Got Help

Not only this but Silverman tried to go an extra mile to help Jamrozy and through her account posted on Twitter asking for professional help for his back and neck pain issues. She tweeted, "Jeremy went for a consult and it’s worse than we hoped. If you’re so inclined, help get him on his feet and working again. He’s in San Antonio if you’re an actual expert that can help with ur skills."

Immediately responding to the Comedians tweet people came forward to help Jeremy, with Airrosti, a spinal clinic got in touch with Jeremy and provided him with the necessary medical treatment.

Hero

The entire conversation was witnessed on social media by the public and everyone praised Silverman for her honesty and down to earth attitude. Silverman is being called a hero on Twitter for handling the situation so well. One user tweeted, "This is honestly one of the nicest and truly decent gestures I've ever seen a human being, much less a celebrity, give to another human being. Your heart and character are as big as your talent."
