#1 North Korean scientists claim they have created arguably the world’s most sought-after drink.

#2 The makers of Koryo Liquor from the Taedonggang Foodstuff Factory, have found a way to replace the alcohol in sugar with burnt rice and ginseng. The booze, which is made from ginseng, is said to be the result of years of work and while still packing an alcoholic punch doesn’t leave the drinker with a hangover.

#3 If this is true then Koryo Liquor is about to become the world’s drink of choice.

#4 The report claims that the Koryo is highly appreciated by experts and lovers as it is suave and causes no hangover. It is a product that exudes national flavour.

#5 However, scientists outside North Korea are somewhat skeptical. Andray Abrahamian, the director of research at Choson Exchange (who support North Korean entrepreneurs) stated that "in my experience there is no such thing as hangover-free booze anywhere in the world."

#7 Unfortunately for all of us who don’t live in the ‘Glorious Republic’, we’ll never get to sample their ‘national flavour’ as the liquor is only available in North Korea so, tragically, the claim is nearly impossible to verify.
