If there's not enough drama going on in your life, go and watch The Dr. Phil Show! Every episode is filled with non-stop drama, tears and absolutely no science or psychology. And it's the perfect show to watch when you're having a bad day. Trust me, those people on the show are having a worse day than you.
Have you seen the titles of the episodes? There's some real gems like "I Believe a Stranger Is Obsessed With My Beautiful Twin Daughters & Has Cyber Hijacked Them!", "We're Terrified of Our Beautiful, Charismatic, Cunning, Explosively Violent 12-Year-Old Daughter" and "I Am Convinced My Granny Is Being Catfished by a Man Who Is Posing as a Financial Planner and She Could Go to Jail!"
But there's not just drama on the show... there's drama in Dr. Phil's life too! Check out all the scandals from his life that he doesn't want anyone to know about!
#1 I'm just going to be honest here.
When I'm watching Dr. Phil, I have no idea who the person asking for help is and who the psychologist is.
#3 Dr. Phil always looks like he's about to give you some lifechanging advice on his show, right?
#4 And then his advice is always like, "I think you need to calm down and listen to me."
#5 He just ends it there with no actual advice to give!
#6 But maybe that's for the best since it doesn't actually look like Dr. Phil should be the one to give out advice.
#7 His life is kind of insane because it's filled with scandals!
#8 Way before he was the famous doctor on TV, Phil used to run a health spa!
He would only hire female employees and his wife found out that he would cheat on her with his employees!
#9 Who even knew he ran a spa? Who is this guy?!
#10 His ex-wife Debbie's best friend told her that she saw Phil bringing home a different girl every night when she was away on business!
#11 Phil can be aggressive!
Shirley Rae Dieu attended a group session at his house and was held captive at his house! Phil kept telling her she had to stay to film the episode and she claims that she was being forced to stay in the same room with a completely naked man!
#12 Phil tried to help Britney Spears and her family when she had her meltdown in 2008.
He forced her and her parents to let him see her in the hospital and they made him promise that he wouldn't talk to the press.
#13 He went on the CBS Early Show and told the media that she wasn't going to get better!
He actually lied on TV and said that her parents gave him permission to film a special about her.
#14 Her family wasn't happy about it and completely ripped Phil to shreds in the media!
Phil later had to apologize!
#15 Dr. Phil has been sued several times!
He was sued by Deepak and Satish Kalpoe by implying that they killed a teenager while she was vacationing in the Caribbean! Supposedly, Phil and his producers secretly filmed them and then edited the footage to make them look bad!
#16 Back in 2008, a YouTube video was posted of six girls beating up another girl in a house.
Phil told his producers to go bail out the alleged ringleader, Mercedes Nichols, so he could get an exclusive interview with her!
#17 He had to back out of the interview when the press found out and ripped him to shreds!
#18 So... there was that one time when Phil's dog bit his friend, Janet Harris.
Supposedly, he told her not to go to the hospital, gave her medicine that he found and it led to her getting an infection!
Yikes!
#19 The Dr. Phil Show might be fake!
There was an episode about discrimination against overweight people. He had two women wear a hidden camera and hoped that they would be insulted by people on the street. When they weren't, he made the producers pay people to insult them and throw things at them!
#21 Phil and his other ex-wife Robin couldn't make it work and he tried to buy her a $30 million mansion to fix everything.
And it still didn't work! Apparently, he took her to the house and she took one look at it and walked away.
