Old tires are a pretty common piece of junk, but they can actually be turned into beautiful additions to your garden. All you need is a few tires in relatively good condition. You can ask a tire store or garage if they have any they want to unload. You'll need six all the same size for this project.

Choose a base color. You might want to use a primer to help cover up the black rubber and give the paint the chance to stand out. White as a base will give your tires a bold look as you continue on with your designs.

Once you have your base layer, it's time to take the next step. Begin by either painting a design on one tire or stacking them together and painting larger designs.
