Bella, a German Shepherd pup who was found in this balcony tied to this chain in Cairo.

But one day, she did what you can't even imagine... she jumped off the balcony! Rescuers estimate she dangled by her neck for five hours... FIVE HOURS!

Some good locals in the area called for help, but unfortunately, when the rescuers arrived, things looked pretty grim. The chain had completely torn into her neck.

The Egyptian Society for Mercy to Animals quickly responded to Bella's critical situation and started patching her wounds, but they knew she'd be better off in America...

So they contacted Special Needs Animal Rescue & Rehabilitation (SNARR) in the hopes of finding the sweet girl a home in the U.S.

She started living in a foster home in Massachusetts after recovery, until a family in Houston, Texas chose her and made her part of their family.

Fortunately, Bella has a completely different life now than when she was chained to that balcony in Cairo. She even has a new brother now and what she has to do is now play and take long naps... Feeling good for her, right?
